God - not good for man to be alone, Gen. 2:18 -

Jesus rejected polygamy, teaching that marriage must be as it was originally instituted by God - Matt. 19:4-5
New Testament says EACH man should have HIS OWN wife and EACH wife her OWN husband - 1 Cor. 7:1-3
